Terms of Use
Last updated: February 1, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of cropfarming.org (the “Site”), operated by CropFarming.org (“CropFarming.org,” “we,” “us,” “our”) as an independent crop-farming information website run by an individual under the CropFarming.org name in the United States (Topeka, Kansas). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
Related Policies
These Terms work alongside our other site policies, including our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Disclaimer, and Affiliate Disclosure. If a topic is covered in both these Terms and a policy page, both apply.
Who the Site Is For
The Site is intended for a general audience. You are responsible for making sure your use of the Site is legal where you live and where you access it. The Site is not directed to children under 13, and you should not use the Site if you are under 13.
What We Publish
CropFarming.org publishes educational and informational content in three areas: Crop Guides, Crop Practices, and Farm Tools & Equipment. We focus on practical crop farming topics and tools. We do not operate a farm supply store, we do not offer agronomic consulting under contract, and we do not provide professional services through the Site.
Informational Use Only
The Site provides general farming information for learning purposes. You are responsible for your own decisions, field practices, compliance, and safety. Conditions vary by field, soil type, weather, variety, pressure from pests and disease, local regulations, and equipment setup. You agree that you use the Site at your own risk.
Safety and Compliance
Farming work involves real risk. You agree to follow product labels, equipment manuals, and applicable laws and regulations when applying chemicals, operating equipment, handling fuel, working around PTOs, and doing any field or shop work. Nothing on this Site replaces label directions, manufacturer instructions, professional training, or local regulations.
Affiliate Links and Sponsored Mentions
Some pages include affiliate links, including Amazon affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We disclose affiliate relationships on relevant pages and aim to keep recommendations based on practical fit and clear specs.
Intellectual Property
Unless stated otherwise, the Site content (including articles, images we create, graphics, and site branding) is owned by CropFarming.org or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may view, print, and share links to our pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission, except where permitted by law (for example, fair use quotations with proper attribution).
Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Site. Misuse includes attempting to break site security, scraping content at scale, using automated systems that overload the Site, submitting spam, posting unlawful or harmful content, impersonating others, or using the Site in a way that violates any law or regulation. We may restrict or block access when we believe misuse occurs.
Comments, Messages, and User Submissions
If the Site allows comments or submissions, you are responsible for what you post or send. You agree not to post content that is illegal, threatening, harassing, defamatory, infringing, misleading, or otherwise harmful. If you submit content to us (such as a comment, question, or suggestion), you grant CropFarming.org a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and publish that content for Site operation and editorial purposes (for example, showing your comment under a post or quoting a question in an FAQ), unless you clearly request otherwise and we agree in writing. We can remove submissions at our discretion.
Third-Party Websites and Services
The Site may link to third-party websites (including retailers) and may embed third-party content. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their content, policies, pricing, availability, or practices. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
Product Information and Availability
We work to keep information accurate, but product features, model revisions, pricing, and availability can change without notice. Any product information on the Site is provided “as is” for general reference. The retailer listing and the manufacturer documentation control.
No Warranties
The Site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CropFarming.org disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CropFarming.org is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site, your reliance on Site content, or your purchase or use of any product linked from the Site. This includes losses such as crop loss, profit loss, equipment damage, chemical injury, or downtime. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CropFarming.org from and against claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any rights of another person or entity.
Copyright and DMCA Notices
If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, send a notice to us with the information needed to identify the work, identify the allegedly infringing material, provide your contact information, and include a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized and that your notice is accurate. Send notices to norman@cropfarming.org with the subject line “Copyright Notice.”
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top when changes are posted. Your continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a court dispute is allowed under applicable law, you agree it will be brought in state or federal courts located in Kansas, unless we both agree to another location.
